Handmade ceramics, with a message inside

Every EMSENSA handmade ceramic mug starts as stoneware and is thrown on the potter’s wheel in Romania. The matte glaze is fired at 1,200°C, and the message, applied as a ceramic decal and fixed with a second firing, sits inside: on the side wall or, for shorter messages, at the bottom of the mug. You discover it as you drink: “Respiră… încă ești aici” (Breathe… you’re still here), “E dimineață… și asta e suficient” (It’s morning… and that’s enough), “Ești bine?” (Are you okay?). The messages are in Romanian, just as they are made on the ceramic.
