Ceramic mugs with a message inside

An EMSENSA mug starts as stoneware thrown on the potter’s wheel, in Romania. It is given a matte glaze and fired at 1,200°C. The message inside is applied as a ceramic decal and fixed with a second firing, so it stays there even after many washes.

The message sits on the inside wall or, for some shorter messages, at the bottom of the mug. On the outside there is only the EMSENSA symbol, pressed into the clay, and the natural clay base. The mug holds 300 ml and has a rounded handle that sits comfortably in your hand.

The collection includes “Respiră… încă ești aici” (Breathe… you’re still here), “E dimineață… și asta e suficient” (It’s morning… and that’s enough), “E seară… lasă totul” (It’s evening… let it all go), “Mai ai o zi, nu o grăbi” (You have one more day, don’t rush it), “Ridică privirea…” (Look up…), “Ce liniște…” (Such stillness…), “Ești bine?” (Are you okay?), “Ai grijă de tine?” (Are you taking care of yourself?), “Breathe… you’re still here”, “It’s evening… let it all go”. The messages are in Romanian, just as they are made on the ceramic, and two of them also come in English. You can also choose a personalised message, in your own words, for you or for someone dear.

For cafés, restaurants and events we make four versions: 300 ml or 200 ml, with or without a handle, with messages from the collection or personalised messages that suit the story of the place.
